"We just got back from a 4-night stay at La Valise and it completely lived up to the hype. We stayed in one of the jungle-side suites, which felt incredibly private and peaceful. It’s tucked away enough to feel secluded, but still close to everything. The design is beautiful without feeling overdone — relaxed, refined, and very Tulum in the best way. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. The food was consistently great, and the views overlooking the beach made it even better. It never felt crowded — there was always a table ready and waiting. That was something we appreciated throughout the stay: whether it was by the pool or on the beachfront, there was always a sunbed available. It’s one of those rare properties where it feels like they intentionally designed the space to have more room than guests. You could always find a comfortable, quiet place to hang out without competing for space. The service across the board was fantastic — warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. They were especially thoughtful and flexible throughout our stay, which made everything feel easy. The location is also ideal. Within about a 15-minute walk, you’re surrounded by tons of great restaurants, day clubs, and nightlife. We opted to walk most nights just to take in the views and the energy of the hotel zone, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. We used the complimentary bikes one afternoon, which was a fun way to cruise around. The cocktails at the bar were excellent — easily some of the best we had all trip. We booked two massages at their spa and both were outstanding. We also had a fantastic dinner at NU — truly memorable. The concierge team handled our airport transfers seamlessly and arranged a private cenote tour for us, which ended up being a highlight. La Valise has that rare balance of feeling intimate but not cramped, luxurious but not pretentious. We left relaxed and already talking about coming back."

"A Magical Honeymoon at La Valise Tulum - Pure Perfection! We stayed at La Valise Tulum for our honeymoon, and we couldn't have asked for a more magical and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, welcome, and completely cared for. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness truly exceeded all our expectations. Even though it was sargassum season, Tulum still had so much to offer - and La Valise made sure we experienced the very best of it. They organized a private tour for us (which turned out to be a highlight of our trip!) and helped us discover the beauty of the area beyond the beach. When we mentioned our concerns about the seaweed, they offered us a seamless room change to a stunning jungle-view suite - and it was absolutely perfect. Peaceful, lush, and full of charm - waking up surrounded by nature was something truly special. "Our stay at La Valise was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere felt so intimate and welcoming, with beautiful décor that was elegant without being overdone — it truly felt luxurious. The staff went above and beyond, learning our names and making us feel genuinely cared for. The rooms were spotless, the food delicious, and the service consistently excellent. I tend to notice details, and everything impressed me: the comfort of the beach mattresses, the thoughtful awning that blended into the environment (so much better than umbrellas), and the staff’s efforts to keep the common and outdoor areas free of bugs. I also appreciated the orientation tour at check-in, which made it easy to feel at home right away. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the water was one of my favorite moments — such a perfect way to start the day. We also enjoyed a spa visit with a massage and facial. The therapists were extremely skilled, and the treatments were wonderful, though I was a little disappointed that both checked their phones a few times. It didn’t interrupt the massage itself, but it did take away slightly from the overall experience. Overall, though, I can’t say enough wonderful things about La Valise. It’s a special place, and we loved every moment of our stay."

The bed rolls out onto the terrace, so we got to fall asleep under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. It was such a unique experience and something we’ll be talking about for years to come. 🌌 The room’s design was simple yet beautiful, with natural finishes and thoughtful details that made it feel warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and we loved the balance of privacy and connection to nature. That said, the jungle does come with its quirks—on our last day, I got a tiny sting from a little scorpion. It wasn’t serious, but it’s a good reminder that nature is all around you here! If you’re looking for a place that combines relaxation, adventure, and something completely different, La Valise Tulum is a perfect choice. It’s not your typical hotel experience, and that’s exactly what makes it so special!"

"Hands down, La Valise is just one of my favorite places in the world, and my partner and I travelled to many. We came here already 2 years ago and just love it everytime. The setting right on the beach is just phenomenal. Even though Tululm has become pretty crowded, you don't sense it here. It rather feels like you're in your little private oasis. The hotel itself is super special: the part on the beach feels like someones private house with an open living room to the ocean and the new part in the jungle is very well thought out and has a special vibe. They improved the breakfast a lot compared to two years ago, now they offer a wide range of healthy options and super nice smoothies. And the best part: The people!! The staff are so incredibly attentive, supportive, personal and care a lot for you. And we always meet incredible people there. So yah, after two times I know it's not been the last time we've been to La Valise. It has a truly special place in our heart."

"Romantic and secluded! Our stay was wonderful. It was very romantic and secluded, we did go during "off season" in October. The staff was great, always helpful in answering questions. The included breakfast had a great list of options and the food was all provided by Nu across the street. Private beach, quiet. Perfect location for walking around to eat/drink. "Booked the suite with rolling bed. Issues: stained robes, slow replacement, A/C not working initially, communication issues with staff, and missing welcome wine promised via Expedia booking. Loved the ambiance, left disappointed due to missed expectations given reputation and rate. We were very much looking forward to our stay at your beautiful property, and while we truly appreciated the unique design and overall atmosphere, I wanted to share a few disappointments that impacted our experience. We had booked the suite with the rolling bed, and checked in around 4:00-4:30 PM, hoping to unwind and take a few photos before our 7:30 PM dinner reservation. Unfortunately, several issues took up most of that limited window: When I reached for the robes, both had noticeable yellow stains. I texted the staff for replacements, and also reported that the A/C remote wasn't working-important since the doors cannot be opened with the A/C on. It took nearly an hour to receive the new robes and for someone to look into the A/C issue. While I understand things can take time, the service felt very slow, especially during a time-sensitive part of our stay. ... our booking on Expedia mentioned a complimentary bottle of wine in the suite, which we never received-something I had been looking forward to after the delays ... I left feeling disappointed that we weren't able to take the photos I envisioned, especially given the reputation and rate of the property. "We stayed in La Zebra in mid January for 4 nights. I wished I booked longer. It is located on georgous Tulum beach with white sands and Palm trees. The beach club and food is really good. The ambiance is really nice. Our room was located on the beach with a plunge pool, which was heated whenever we asked for it. The room was very spacious with a nice decoration, exclusive Mexican atmosphere. The room is cleaned everyday. We found hot ginger tea and chocolates every night when we arrived in our room. You have everything ready in the room, from umbrellas to yoga mats, brewed Mexican coffee. Front desk team, Lucy, Ricardo, Estaban were great. Our special thanks to Juan Carlos, he helped us in everthing we asked for, from restaurant recommendations to private excursions. I would definetely recommend La Zebra to anyone travelling to Tulum. Come with or without children. Tulum Tips: The parties in Tulum begin with brunch, continues with sunset, dinner and night. Entertainment anytime of the day:))) Everything is perfect. You can put slippers in the room."

The design is stunning without trying too hard, the service is warm, intuitive, and genuinely thoughtful, and the setting feels like you stumbled into a very chic dream you do not want to wake up from. Every detail feels intentional, calm, and elevated, from the rooms to the beach to the food. It is the kind of place that ruins you for other hotels, in the best possible way."
